for a similar saw try the ms441:thumbup1: i run a 390 and it can be a right royal pain in the butt to start sometimes and sometimes won't tickover no matter how often you adjust it. worst buy of my life although i am on my second one but only because my first one was stolen and my policy is like for like and i had already decided to upgrade my blower.

Howdo,

I have a 390 and been running with a 16" stihl bar with Origan FULL chisel safety chain, cuts super fine for me.Plenty of grunt.

Only problem was the Oil pump had a design floor and believe this was from Stihl,

I just took out the brake and clutch assembly undune the two bolts and replaced the

pump, reasembled and the difference was super lube, the adjuster screw on the bottom is still wide open but I now know its running A ok.

Cheers JJ
