What do these electrics do?

Is it PTO powered or off a spools?

Apparently its electrical on/off switch. I'm guessing plugged in and turned on you can disable the crane.

 

Hmmm so how do I turn it on and off? Only socket we have on our tractor is for trailer lights. Do some tractors have extra sockets for other purposes like this?

Does it not just have a trailer light connector on the end of it? If it is only taking positive and negative you can change the end and plug it into one of the electrical sockets in the cab.

 

Although I'm still not totally sure what this lead does. I almost want to find out as much as you.

The wire goes to top of right hand lever and that's a hirchmann connector (and possibly electric valve) in other pic so possibly had an EHC system for controlling extension and grab at some point.

Bit obvious, ask the chap you bought it off:001_smile: had a look on website, in the trailer description it mentions winch/radio controlled, surely that would need electrical supply. So thinking optional extra.
