I once knew a couple crane operators who felt that way about their outriggers.

 

When they'd leave the ground, they'd ask me to cut the pick a little smaller.

I'd like to have a go driving one but if remember right they've not got power steering?

no power steering/radio/synchro clutch/heater/air con etc etc, the one I used to drive you needed ear muffs, in the day when we didn't even wear them when using a saw, exhaust fumes pouring into the cab, 38mph maximum. go anywhere though and would pull a house down.
