My Ropeguide broke...

Hey people,

I was climbing today and when I went to install my ropeguide I noticed that the trapeze had lost it's retaining bolt that attaches it to the webbing. This essentially means the device is no longer retrievable as the trapeze has separated from it.

I was wondering if these bolts can be purchased anywhere as a replacement part and also if anyone else has experienced this?

Cheers!

Al

Yep the trapeze is dog shite, if it's not clipping in to the other side of your line and making retrieval impossible and brakes or does what's happened to your self and the replacement is nearly £50 from honeys... If it's just the bolt you should get one from a fasteners or use a cable tie as a temporary holding.

The annoying thing is my previous rope guide was over 5 years old and never did the retrieval clip that screwed in let me down, but I've gone through two trapezes in ten months and I know others who have broken them as well in this time and at around £45 with vat and postage its a joke.

I'll see if you can get the Trapeze bolt separately for you though.
