I run a 2008 nkr with 55k on the clock, bloody good truck and easy to work on with the tilt cab, been v reliable and isuzu engines are strong, ride quality is crap compared to a van but turning circle is amazing,as a working truck there bloody good.

Pros/cons compared to a Tranny Ian?

Isuzu has higher towing capacity, better turning circle, is built more like a lorry. Downside more expensive on parts and harder to find mechanics that can fault find etc

Transit has bigger load bed, much more comfortable for the driver and passengers. Parts a lot cheaper and more readily worked on.

theres just no way i would consider buying a ford commercial... we have a mwb transit and a transit connect at work and the repair bills are just eye watering! constant problems, worst build quality ive ever seen, and engines and clutches like cheese! was hoping the isuzus are better, would you say there more reliable than transits but when something rarley goes wrong the parts are more expencive? or is your isuzu allways getting fixed?

Never had a tranny mark but also run a relay. Here goes.

Pros

Strong chassis

Strong 3lt engine

Good engine access with tilt cab

Pull well with low gearing

Built as a 5t but down plated for UK.

Amazing turning circle

Looks like a truck not a van

Can tow 3.5t

Cons

Rough ride compared to a van

Low geared so not fast

Bit thirsty

Parts are expensive but parts are generally much bigger than a van

Bouncy when empty

Seats and plastic are a bit naf

Basic compared to a van

Notch gearbox that is layed out different to anything else

Agricultural compared to a van
