Fuel problems

after taking my 200t in to the shop yet again with a dirty carb i asked my mechanic why it keeps getting crap in there....we had a lengthy discussion about the decreasing quality of fuel these days, and a little tip he gave me was to stuff my fuel funnel with a pair of the missus's old tights when filling the combi can out of the jerry can. just thought i'd share

mine will run crap through a tank of petrol if they have sat for a few days then run fine .....maybe another good reason to switch to aspen

If you use something like an old t-shirt as a filter thats 100% cotton, it will filter out the crap and hold back any water content that you sometimes get from filling stations.

Avoid using Supermarket petrol stations...Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsburys etc all use the worst quality petrol and diesel on the market. Cheap junk.
