Have they changed the Ranger engine? up until now the 3.2 was a 5 cyl engine, my mate bought one new in 2013 and its a super machine, tons of power and torque and takes plenty of abuse from him, this time next year Rodney.......

Afternoon Jon: My 94 Ranger is still my daily drive at 348000 miles. I am the Second owner and it has served me well with the original engine and transmission. These trucks were made so well that Ford dropped the production I believe in the US Market in 2002. Not one of Fords better ideas:thumbdown:

I believe this truck would be well suited for the type of work your local folks go through day to day.

Just done a bit of googling, I was under the impression that the European ranger which is a rebadged Mazda was completely different to your ranger.

It seems I was wrong (I think)

Is yours diesel?

My ranger is gasoline. Mazda and Ford Rangers are often confusing from a model standpoint. I think that has a lot to do with the percentage of ownership

as in how much Ford Owns of Mazda:sneaky2:

All Rangers in Europe at least will be diesel I think.

Anyway I was looking to get a new Ranger 3.2 on lease hire here (France) I was told by the salesman that I would be unable to reclaim the VAT/TVA/purchase tax on the bigger engine model so it's the smaller engine for me.

It'll happen in the autumn if it happens.

Mike, I believe you will be happy with your investment. Like anything else keeping up with the normal maintenance will serve you well. Your rules about writing off expenses due to having a larger engine is a crock of poo poo. Take care.
