I just got a quote for 6F3 £18 delivered plus VATmate. I thought that was a bit steep.

Is that 'proper' 6F3 hodge? If so it don't sound like a bad price. The going rate for road planings around here is twenty quid a ton plus vat.

Mileage will have an effect as will load size. Normally a 10 ton load is a few pounds more than a 20 ton load. I was quoted £23 for 803 in 20 ton loads a few months ago and changed supplier because I thought it was way too dear. I can't remember exactly how much I paid but I think about £15/ton delivered. Should better that next time.

thanks guys - been quoted 17.50 plus vat - per t so not a million miles off - he just said it like he plucked the figure out of the air, then added the vat, ha ha.

will be needing around 80 t so it all adds up.
