I hope you all noticed I purposefully listed my trees in easy, simple to understand terms. Tut tut David, shame on you.

The Binomial nomenclatural system was for the benefit of the all worlds natural history students.

 

The constant use of purely English based plant names is a wholey biased & unfair situation, one the likes of Swe#kipp/ Shrek and poor old Master Blaster rightly struggle with and gives Arbtalk an inherintly inverted outlook :confused1::crazy:

Monterey Pine

 

would probably be what the majority of the saw chips in my pockets consist of...

 

they were mostly cornish trees, not one of them was latin to my knowledge:closedeyes:
