I've just taken mine off and put cheapos on the same as Liams but without the gay reflectors

You’ll screw your knees up as well Dean. Pushing down hard and not pulling up (esp. at our age) will bugger them up. If you just push down your only using one muscle group – share the work-load throughout your body mate.

You’ll be telling us your pushing a big gear next! :scared1:

I was looking in to getting some just before i got laid off, However with no regular work at the mo all none essential spending has been put on hold mate.

They are better tho i must agree, ive had them in the past and liked them, take a bit of getting used to but they are good

I'll put them back on when I get some shoes but they are pricey and I have some street dred to live upto so don't want to look gay.

I want to be able to just jump on the bike and nip to the local shop or down the yard, they do a one sided pedal where you can ride with or without but they are dear and so are the shoes.

Can you walk ok in the shoes or does the clip underneath catch the ground

You can walk or run in spuds, the cleats are nowhere near the ground. That clippety clop type shoe, cleat and pedal is for road cycling only, such as Look Keo. The very nature of mountain biking means you have to dismount at some point and run or get over obstacles
