I'm waiting for the new Navara, not really interested in anything else to be honest. This is based on the outstanding customer service and back up I have received from my Nissan dealer over the past 6 years over anything else.

While I don't rate current Navaras' I have to say their customer service has been very good with my Boss and his two trucks. He also has a crashguy, which has been excellent.

The 3 litre hilux is capable of towing over 3 tonne and there is a company in the Midlands that replates them to show it.

There is no ideal vehicle out there so far this has been a useful thread so let's not turn it into my winky is bigger than yours.

We are all looking for a similar vehicle but all going round in circles may be its about to hit the market but not yet.

I think the hilux is probably the best all rounder but the towing weight puts it out the race.

I just wish they would offer the big engines in the Base models, normal "work"hilux is 2.5 but only the invincible is 3lt, same with ford, the only models available in 3.2 are the two top of the range trucks, why can't I have a Base dcab with 3.2lt???

It's all designed so you are hooked in on a 19 k double cab with black bumpers. Then when you are there you want few extras but it's cheaper to go the next model up especially as it has the bigger engine before you know they shove a quote under your nose for 28k + vat which has a good chunk of profit in it. Double cab for 19 k is a lot of truck for the money with little profit. 9 k is lots of money for a few bits of tackey bling.
