He says it doesn't bother him but I think deep down he wonders what life could have been like... he still lives in a rented place. Mind you he's always been a great dad and he's always been around - who knows what the alternative lifestyle may have led to? Just gotta roll with it.

Shane, the bottom line is that if your dad had changed anything, you wouldn't be here. The butterfly effect....sort of.

If I could go back in time I would get into climbing straight from school, rather than at 24, then I could have travelled the world and see so much……………….

But then I would not have married my wife at 20 and have 4 children…………………

So on balance if I could have my time over, I would change nothing :001_smile:

Ditto, wish I'd learnt to climb from school instead of wasting my time with a levels as I am not academic. Then I joined the army and met the good lady as a result of performing poorly at a levels, so on balance would change nowt!

IMO, if you are happy with were you are right now, you can't wish you could change any of the past, as that would then leave you in a different place today :001_smile:

Are you completely bereft of any imagination? It's a simple enough light hearted thread. Give us a theoretical thing you might have changed.

But no, Huck says you're not allowed to wish or imagine anything might have been different.

In fact, if you read my first post in this thread, I did enter into the spirit of the thread and stated what I would change, but then quantified that with reality :001_smile:
