Cutting Beech Trunk to what size?

I have to extract this Beech trunk as its blocking a drainage ditch in the wood causing flooding. You can see the top on the floor under the leaning Conifer in the 1st Pic

After I remove all the branches, I need to cut the trunk to remove it as it is over waterlogged ground, 2nd Pic

My question is guys n gals, what size should I cut the trunk into as it will possibly go to a saw mill.

Cheers S.G.

I guess you or the client will need to line up a sawmill who will take it - might be worth asking their preference before commiting - else if left till after cut at 8 foot every one would have taken it at 12.

but to answer your personally id cut at 8 (or less if chainsaw milling for my own use) just for ease of handling
