That's a lot of drivel so far...

Both are a huge step from an ms 181!

What do you need it for?

not drivel mate fact i have had 3 560s all kept going to be fixed , two mates of mine this month . plug blown out of head then clutch again on one , the other saw this week crank bearings gone and piston so new engine . thats what 560s do its fact not drivel . unless you only want to do little work they are not reliable enough

I need it for felling and cross cutting. So far ive been using my ms181 for the small stuff and borrowing a work mates ms291 for the larger stuff, i just cant keep borrowing his saw forever.

And yet so many of us have good 560's, you just seem to be surrounded by duff ones.

I wasn't saying either one is better, just that the op's question isn't fully answered after 35 posts of shouting from either side....

As I said its a huge step from his/her current ms181, so I'd thought its perhaps not going to be worked too hard?

For firewood I'd say 365x-torq BTW, most bang/buck by far, nil-cost upgrade to 372 spec, proven rugged, reliable design and cheaper and more powerful than either mentioned above.

i do forestry and all the 560 owners i know do aswell a lot of cutting cramed into a little time , i reckon once the saws with light use catch up you will see probs . this saw is put out for pro use not casual users but for pro use its not reliable at all , thats all im saying guys .

If your doing firewood get the 362 as your not looking for massive cutting speed like chasing cuts through when felling. You want a saw you can pull out the truck start use forget 560 is not that saw IMO I'm not knocking um just not suitable for your application.

We returned our 560 early model and replaced with 362 then added another 362 only problem I've had with either have been my own fault rear handles don't like having cord dropped on them(twice)

I can see sense in rovers post above
