Took mine apart too. I'm pretty sure it's a 5 wrap distel. I remember reading that in order to maintain its CE as a complete system you must use it in its original configuration.

There are a few Teufelberger videos on YouTube that demonstrate it's uses and various applications.

Looks like michocain, or knut. I climb on both but can never remember which is which. That is the not to right I comment on. Vary between four and five wrap normally. Wet dry rope dependant.

I thought it looked like a knut too but not that familiar as i dont have that lanyard.
