It's got me thinking this!! Could be a right little machine! Where to get a tracked bed from though??

Get a write off mini digger and then put your 150 on it.

Just wondering, does it tip up when heavy branches go through it? Does it need the free standing legs supporters welding on? Comment based on tendency of towables to tip up when weighted at chipper hopper, or is it heavy too avoid this?

Cracking chipper that.

I heard of a chap who had his towable chipper written off in crash; chassis smashed bent up, he ended up welding engine hopper etc too a big trailer, and converted the other half of trailer into the 3way tipping trailer. Apparently worked a treat.

I doubt big branches will be going through that TBH.

Probably right there after re reading it. Although, doesn't the 18hp entec take 4 inch diameter? Get a bit of conifer that size and of length you can get good bit weight in that with all greenery, especially with a unseen squirrel dray in the end haha

Maybe, but tracks and all the paraphernalia are heavy.

Now to the nub, I like it, you're clever, well done, but I can't help thinking that for all that effort you should have put a larger unit on.

Isn't the cs100 18hp? Two blokes can manhandle a cs100 pretty much anywhere I'm told.

Great idea in theory but the counter balance is part of the structure and you would have too loose that too get the weight down .

Otherwise great idea .
