well, granted this is based on a 5-10 year old opinion but they tend to have the worst craftmanship of the medium range bikes. they tend to be marketed as really upmarket bikes by halfords argos etc...

for a bit more money Giant would be be a much better alternative

however if you have owned one and been happy with it then fair enough... maybe they have bucked their ideas up :)

You'd be better off with a decent pair of cycling shorts because they have the chamois insert for comfort, then a top with rear pockets for carrying keys, money etc. But whatever you decide to wear make sure you invest in a helmet.:001_smile:

Totally agree Mick, helmet is going to be the first bit of kit I buy, I'm a cross country type person, can't do with roadwork, too risky with all the pratts on the road that don't give you room and are texting

You're better off going off road and staying away from cars tbh. There was no such thing as mountain bikes when I started cycling and as a result I'm addicted to the road. I've been shot at, had someone try to slash my face with a knife and countless rows with drivers, I even had a near confrontation last Wednesday when someone pulled into a bus stop and jumped out of his motor. I blew him a kiss as I freewheeled by and he caught me at the next lights, funny thing is though this time he stayed in his motor
