Gloves

Guys I'm looking to buy a couple of pairs of gloves for my upcoming saw courses.

 

Any recommendations as to what the professionals rate as a good chainsaw glove please.

Don't worry about it Bush, most people on here are glad to answer any questions you have, even if they may have been asked before. On the glove front, have they told you specifically that you have to wear them? I didn't for mine.

I like Tegera 17 - they're cut proof so help when handling logs but they're not chainsaw proof! I'm not a professional but from what I'm told, for a normal chainsaw (i.e. not top handled) both hands should be on the saw at all times unless the chain isn't running so chainsaw gloves won't be of much use apart from keeping your hands warm

I like the Sugihara gloves that Rob D sells on here . No c/s protection on the backs but I have never ever in all my life had a chain touch the back of my hand . I rate these gloves . Cooler in the summer than most .

Is it even possible for the chain to hit your front hand? I've thought about it and I can't picture it or come up a with a reasonable answer. It just seems impossible
