  1. Whilst wrestling on the floor with my young Son, he accidently pushed his thumb nail into my eye and removed 30% of my cornea. . . The pain was excruciating and a trip to A+E ensued. . . It took almost six months to completely heal. . . I'm super paranoid about my eyes now.
  2. Magic thanks, the issue with the search facility I think is more to do with my android device other than the site I think.
  3. Anal inspection gloves I'm guessing
  4. Apologies if it's been well covered, unfortunately for reasons unknown when I try and search it returns no results.

    Gloves

Guys I'm looking to buy a couple of pairs of gloves for my upcoming saw courses. Any recommendations as to what the professionals rate as a good chainsaw glove please.
  6. I'm guessing he just buys a new one coz that ain't coming out of there in a hurry.
  7. It's a hard days work like this lad some of you boys are needing. . .hahahttps://m.facebook.com/Forestmachineoperatorjobs/photos/a.382337815114067.107472.322220171125832/1016759425005233/?type=1&source=48&refid=7&_ft_=qid.6114646706103474960%3Amf_story_key.7445984509135303531&__tn__=E
  8. I've actually got a young MPT at the bottom of my drive, all this talk of them being difficult to deal with is making me nervous. . . Saying that it's currently only seven foot tall so it will be a long time before it needs any work done it. . I'll post a photo of it in due course.
  9. Haha, yes I knew they were spikey. . . When chippings were referred to I thought it was actual wood chippings that shouldn't be used other than the green. I thought there may be an issue with the sap or something along those lines
  10. Educate me here guys, why wouldn't you use the chippings in a children's play ground? I'm a complete novice so it's a genuine question.
  11. In that case, I think I might take a punt on them. Time will tell how they hold up.
  12. Hamdog, do you have a link to where you found them a bit cheaper?
  13. Exactly the boot I was considering as well, I thought it looked good and stout, despite the garish yellow. Saying that, for similar money I liked the look of the Arbortec Fellhunter Xpert as well. The trouble is, there is no one shop that stocks them all so without input from the likes of this forum it's a bit of a lucky dip.
  14. Exactly the sort of feedback I'm looking for, thanks. To that end are the Meindl boots generally better quality than the Haix?
  15. Lads, Apologies if this has been asked before but the search facility isn't returning much in the way of results. . I'm looking at buying my first pair of chainsaw boots. The vast majority of my work will be in high wet ground; I'm considering buying a pair of Haix Protector Forrest boots. . . As im sure your aware they are the thick end of £200.00 so want to be certain I'm making the right choice. . Can anyone comment on these boots from personal experience as to how well they perform and specifically if they remain waterproof in wet ground. Any comments, positive or negative would be well received.
  16. Guys, much appreciated I'm sorted now. I managed to find a pair of SIP Innovation 11 at a reasonable price with 35'' legs so just the ticket. Thanks to everyone who replied, now for boots.
  17. Guys I wonder if you may be able to help, im just on the cusp of entering into the world of wood cutting. I'm currently in the process of buying my PPE in preparation for my upcoming forestry and chainsaw course. I am however struggling to find good quality 'Class A' trousers with a long leg of at least 34''. It appears the great majority of trousers offered by the main manufacturers have a maximum leg length of 31.5''. I can't possibly be the only cutter who is of the larger size. With that in mind can the esteemed membership point me in the direction of a supplier or maybe post up a link or two.
