The throw line comp is on and again being sponsored by throwpod/sawpod, I'm not revealing much about the SRT climb this year as there's some big changes, but all for the best, let's just say it's completely aimed at SRT.

Sounds good Adam, Im really looking forward to making it as tricky as possible.. A nice long limb for the plumbob with no redirect potential above perhaps:sneaky2::thumbup1: Just kidding! Really keen to get up this year. Missed it the last couple and been really peeved..

Just sent my entry form off and this is going to be my first comp. Can anyone who's been before tell me what to expect standard wise as always been put off entering comps before thinking it's going to be full of experts flying round the tree. Been climbing for 4 years now and done a fare bit of srt over the last 6 months.

You won't be the only one there who's new to comps mate :) I'll probably make you look a pro!

It isn't solely aimed at SRT is it?

You'll be in good stead for the comp, four years is plenty of experience. It's a very friendly atmosphere and we have entrants with much less experience that enter. The overall competition includes all disciplines, cutting, climbing (DdRT), mewp, pole climb etc. The SRT comp is run separately, with it's own prizes, as not everyone uses it.

No. But it's worth doing the both the combined and SRT events of you've got experience with SRT

I haven't, unless awkward footlocking counts.

Wouldn't mind having a play at SRT though, not in a competitive environment.
