If your in firewood for the long haul it's got to be a 360 bigger the better it's on the list for this year forklift are a waste of time for sorting out cord you need to be selective.

Asking a driver to sort cord is a :laugh if you want it graded you buy it graded not ask the driver to do it. Once you buy graded you won't go back.

Excavator and Grab makes the job easy, and I park some kit at a friends who does Firewood.

When the Kubota comes in he's all smiles, as I simply can't track past the mess they get it in with a Kramer loader.

Even a 5 tonner can do a pretty fair job of it to be honest. Size depends on what else you can utilise it for to be honest, no point in a 20 tonner about just to stack a bit of timber.

Completely agree.

My thinking is no matter how big the yard it's stacked out so the bigger it is the more reach you have.

I spent an hour today in my mates firewood yard sorting out his timber stacks, he is the same as you with a forklift .

I restacked and removed the big stuff for the splitter .

Moved about 20 tons in an hour and made it all lovely.

Sorry no pics.

Read that out of context and thought you must have eaten you spinach
