Basic carb settings are no longer given due to the machines being set up for the best emissions, hence the anti tamper screws, however start at 1 1/4 on both ( if you have the tool ) and tune from there, max rpm 12500 idle 3000rpm

1 1/4 give or take sounds about right. I just set the idle so it doesn't stall and doesn't engage the clutch and I think I had to open the L up a bit as well but the top end seems fine. Don't weaken the H off too much or you'll seize it.

This little diy saw has served me well putting up with fourteen months of abuse

So has been treated to a new piston and head and a cannon bar.

I really do need a professional small saw in the near future,which one is open to debate.

I bet the cannon bar cost nearly as much as the saw :laugh1:
