Hi all I have a vauxhall combo van and need a towbar fitting asap all the local stealerships are lookalike at nigh on 300 to supply and fit. Does this seem excessive to those on here? Has anyone done it themselves and if so how hard was it? I fitted the towbar to my current car with no bother but that was just a case of bolting off the crumple bar and bolting on the new one and plugging in the electrics? The instructions for the combo are vague at best and state that the rear cross member anyone want to tell me how bad I could mess up my van if i do it wrong

Thanks Mike

I bought from these guys late last year for my Berlingo.

Proved a fairly easy fit with good instructions and, although I diodn't need it, a phone helpline. :)

My van is rated to pull 1100kg and it happily pulls a Timberwolf 190, plated at 1050kg, so no hesitation about recommending them. :)

Personally I'd steer clear unless it's a family car and you tow say a boat twice a year.

Had one come with my new Isuzu DMax couple of years ago. Came loose on me twice so had a proper one fitted. Was towing couple of thousand miles a month though.

fitted one to my Partner, took an hour, pulls trailer with sc252 no problems.

Make sure you get fitting the chassis spacers right. aprt from that dead easy.

Get everything tightened up right, kits come with nylon nuts so shouldnt work loose.
