i always carry my silky gomtaro on my harness , a silky is a very underrated tool and in my opinion is the best tool in a climbers kit bag , all climbers should have a silky its safer and often more appropriate to use instead of a chainsaw when up the tree , more control and more efficient.

Hi

+1

Silkys are excellent, sure you wont be dissapointed

I very much prefer using my Gomtaro (to a chainsaw) if possible when climbing for removing small limbs, we both have one so Mrs NFG has a pink belt clip on hers :blushing:

If you search you will find a couple of older threads covering your question extensively.....but for the record if you choose a "Silky Nakanoto 60" (straight) you will have the finest hand cutting tool ever created....Welcome to Arbtalkland:)

Hi all,

I am new to the forum so apologies if this is not the right place to post this but I wondered if anyone could offer some advice about which is the best Silky Saw to buy and where could I find the best deal?

Cheers,

Dom

Dom whichever one you buy be careful when you handle it, they are very sharp!!
