training joe public in chainsaw use?

i know this will stir up some issues, but what the hey!

whilst delivering firewood i often meet customers who have bought a chainsaw (one even has a ms660) and have no ppe and no idea on the safe use of one.

i will not deliver un-cut wood in lengths to these people unless they get or have the ppe, i even tell them they should get some training.

now this is where the issue starts.

they quite often ask where and how much it would cost, then they ask me if can give them some basic training!!

my question is where do i stand with this as they are not looking for a qualification or NPTC, but just want to be safe after i scare them with the chainsaw boot i put a saw through. (foot was not in it at the time, i did it to show customer what i can do)

obviously i can see a potential to make some money here and get wood cut up at my yard at the same time, but i can also see the potential here for claims to start

what do you think??
