Hi Shavey,

 

Looks very good, especially as it has a lot of pro features, adjustable oil pump mag alloy case light weight make a good saw to start with & not as expensive as Husky 543

 

No daft 'tool-less' tensioner either!

ive just had a weigh in both saws where full of fuel and oil

 

1 x husqvarna 242xp with 15'' husky bar and chain .325 .050

1 x dolmar ps-420sc with 15'' dolly bar and chain .325 .050

Is there a non cat muffler available for the 420/421?

 

hello yes there is i have sold three this year and they are the same muffler as the ps-350sc

i agree there cats are so restrictive this saw would be lighter and narrower without the easy start but at 195psi it would be a hard pull :thumbup::thumbup:

195psi?! Is it a clam or flat base shavey? What's max rpm?

 

hello eddy the top end is 13500 rpm and its a proffesional engine design not a clamshell the high engine psi was revealed too me by two top blokes in the saw world, i tried to test the PSI today but this saw is fitted with a small thread cm plug and i havent got an adaptor that goes that small but once i get an adaptor i will test it :thumbup::thumbup:
