Time to kiln dry firewood down to 20%

So you invest 50k in a kiln, maybe less maybe more?

 

Well for that, you could easily rent more yard/roof space, buy a fair old heap of cord wood and buy enough "containers" to store all your wood and probably still spare cash

 

£120K plus for one that works and is genuinely compliant and your right the ROI is not there (if it were not for the RHI income).

I have 500 ton beech cut this time last yr

Stacked 2 metres high cut 8 ft long

Nothing bigger than 15 inch and processing straight out heap at 25%

If it's left in shed for week after split goes down to 23ish

Sold over 450 load since 1st oct so no kilns for me!

 

That's impressive nick and up to 15" down to 25% in 12 months, must be a breezy site with plenty of sun!
