We use a binderberger 30t trailed machine similar to that posch and its fine, ideally a 2 person machine unless you don't mind walking about a lot, or having to sort out a tangled heap of billets later. The only con I've heard about the tractor 3pt mounted version is that when the billets pop round sideways as they sometimes do they can end up stuck under the tractor which can become a pita.

lots of talk on which splitter to buy but who sells billets what volume bundles and how are you pricing them. seem to remember a couple of threads a while ago about billet bundlers, just curious if this is worth considering rather than upgrading processor to a larger atm.

We process all sub 14 inch timber and billet oversize to run back through processor.

thats what we have been doing or cutting into rings and splitting on the verticles but coming round to the idea of the cubic bundles just not sure how desirable they are, have seen a few through spamming google with softwood £65+vat but no hardwood priced.

We've done some just this year into bundles, to see if it suits our system. Haven't got to sawing them for delivery yet. We lack wind and firm ground so find billets dry well and stay clean, however the repeat handling is a swine. A good processor must be simpler, if you have the yard set-up.
