What to budget for fencing?

Hi all

Wondering if anyone out there could give me some advice?

The fence at the back of our place has seen better days and the wind is doing a great job of pushing it over, saying that I've now taken it down before it does any more damage. All the uprights have had it, most rotten and snapped

Anyway could anyone give me an idea of the money we'll need to save up to get it replaced

The fence line is straight and level, it's approximately 25m long and we'd be looking for a 5' or 6' high slatted (hit or miss I think it's called) type

Access is easy and I'd be happy to help hump stuff back and forth, etc

I can get the materials for the local sawmil if that helps too?

We're in the Stirling area, Central Scotland

Look forward to hear what people think

Thanks

Ian

Thanks for the replies guys :001_smile:

@ biggarlogs - not sure what you mean about single / double boarded, do you mean single or double sided? Prices seem good at £30 / £37 per meter for everything. £750 or £925 total seems good to me

@ Big J - I like your rustic speed fencing but don't think it's what the wife has in mind. Only just started, this afternoon, processing that timber I got from you but it cuts up real quick :001_smile: I'll be in touch again if that's OK + I'll bring some O-rings over when I'm passing next

@ Caledonian Bob - I'll look into UC4 posts as advised, thanks for the heads up but post height seems a bit short or is that just me?

@ Kevin - at £60 per meter that's double what biggarlogs seems to think. I know you get what you pay for but what would do you get for £60 per meter?

Again thanks for the replies, anyone what to come over and have a look at the job?
