Is this Willow? And what's it like to season and burn?

Do you get different kinds of Ash as this isn't like any of the other Ash I've dealt with before? The bark is smoother and a more silver colour and the branches are different too. There's an Ash just a few metres away from this and it looks like a different type of tree to this

Deffo ash if your felling ones on the side of a field with a lean put a ratchet strap on them 18 inchs above the gob. Had a big un do it split out as the bar had not gone through.

 

Limes like splitting out aswell.

There's Ash in the back of this photo and the bark is a different colour and texture to the tree that's been felled at the front which is why I was thinking it's not Ash. But I'm definitely no expert

 

 

They are all on the ground now and none of them split on me thankfully. Just got to tidy up and put the fence back up now

You get a bit of variety, that one looks pretty quick grown, lacking the deeper bark fissuring you get with older material

 

The acid test is the buds, get a picture of those for the definitive answer

Ash bark goes from brown to off grey as it matures gots loads of ash in the yard with a variety of characteristics
