Hi..Please can anybody help.

My 190 will not charge! I have replaced the battery, alternator and the 2 power leads from the battery to the starter motor. checked the battrey at full revs with a ameter it was charging at 14 amp. So I thought ace job done.

Next day it was working fine for half a day, Went to crank her up then it just clicked out, a flat battery! (nuts). :mad1:Does anybody have some idea what could be up with it?

Hi Robman49

Please can you advise the serial number of the machine as it helps with the advise offered as over time improvements to units have been made, please call me if preferred with this info.

It sounds like a drain on the system.

With the unit turned off undo positive lead on the battery and just touch it to the treminal, check to see if there is a spark when touched, the spark will not be big and you may need to do this in a reduced light environment to be able to see it, if there is a spark and you have a multimeter set it to 50vdc and put meter inline to see what power is being drawn.

Have you checked for a good earth and found this to be OK,

Have you got a GPS tracking system fitted, we have experienced problems with these in drawing current from the system.

Hope that this points you in the right direction
