A new idea for the top-handled saw monopoly - Tell me your thoughts!

I must have missed something in the translation. I am clear that Write saws are done and dead as far as production tools are concerned. "difflock's" discription brought the Write saw to mind and I wondered if he had ever seen it.

 I understood where you "were coming from" Merle.

But No I had not, seen it.

I am always:001_rolleyes: "pondering" better ways of doing things, or altn wondering "why do we still do it this old way"

A positive side effect of bein plain bone idle lazy:blushing:

N.B.

Though to clear the chips from the cut one requires blade travel, therefore simplistically a long-stroke pull saw (ie a "Silky") pulling in against the branch or trunk, would work.

How to return the blade without "kicking" out is the key issue.

Its Wright saw by the way if anybody wants to see it.

Problem to me is that if you are cutting near the dogs or anything less than the whole length then you are blunting that part of the saw first. A rotating chainsaw blade blunts evenly (unless you hit a nail). Wasn't that a problem?
