cleaning petzl vertex

Hi. I hope I'm not going over old ground, and i thought I ought to be able to suss this myself, but has anyone figured out how to get the webbing cage out of the vertex to clean it properly?

It's a complete nightmare to 're fit it! Comes out easily enough but resembles a snakes wedding when you try to make sence of what goes where to put it back in the helmet! The best way I found was to lay it over a big bowl to simulate a head and go from there!

I put mine in the dishwasher. Comes out like new

Washing machine , use a net bag.

cheers , but where the webbing is attatched it goes to the outside light holder clips (for want of a better description).this is where im getting stuck ,I don't want to just pull etc and end up snapping some little bit of plastic .does it push out and then the outer clip slip through to the inside?
