I have a jonsered that does this, I hope it's not the coil as I can't get another, so I'm trying other things first, impulse line- when it gets warms could make the rubber pipe soft giving less vacuum in the carb, fuel tank breather, changed it to a new one but that leaks fuel( cheap Chinese I think) into the air filter witch slowly floods the engine? Sorted that prob did a hole tank of fuel and seemed better but then pull cord broke. I'll try and remember to take it tommorow and try it again. If not I think it's the coil.

Fuel tank vent possibly tho normally shows up a bit quicker than that. Just open the fuel cap when it stalls, retighten and see if it starts.

I've been doing that inadvertently every time I check to see it's not run out of fuel! :001_smile:

Thanks to all for the ideas, I will take it to bits and look at the coil and fuel line. I don't think it's the compression, as it feels the same on the starter cord.

Actually, I really, really hope it's not the compression, as this would be much more complicated than just buying a new bit and fitting it.

If you take the cylinder off, support the von rod well as the big end rollers all fall out if you dont:thumbdown:
