Just for interest;

Advert on ebay - stihl ms390 15inch bar no reserve approx year 2012

It says - here we have for sale a used stihl ms390 chain saw approx. year 2012 but no 100% sure has a 15inch bar in good working order has had some numbers sanded of has the usual scuffs and dirt of a used tool please check the pictures and make your own mind up what you se is what you get.

It's got '#31' etched on the top cover has 1 day 9 hrs to run as I type, I am casting no aspersions on the seller, he may have bought it from a stolen recovered auction, or the previous owner may have removed the stickers for some unknown reason. Just for interest if anyone recognizes it:confused1::001_huh:

Go on then, i'll admit to being blind.... where's the serial number in the pic?

Ta

Blind???

Stupid more like, the serial number is where the serial number is on all modern stihl chainsaws, if you don't know that much what kind of super sleuth are you?

It ends in 0982 as far as I can be bothered looking

Different to many Ebay "private" sellers, he is a trading as a business with a vat number and visible address. It is almost certainly a fleet saw from one of the national rental companies, who seem to be disposing of perfectly good chainsaws I suggest due to safety concerns. They rub out the etched number before they sell them off. I would be more concerned about the seller that doesnt print an address and wont allow collection
