When I did mine I liked the cushion cut or pie cut was it called or maybe step cut . Any way for slight back leaners with a side hold so you can get your felling bar in before you complete the stepped back cut . Yea liked that one when I first saw it .

It was certainly an interesting trip in to the training centre this morning... We had snow last night which then froze with more snow falling on top. As I was travelling along the road I hit a patch of ice before travelling sideways towards the hedge/wall... The top left tracks were my front wheels and the bottom left tracks, my rear wheels :eek:

Hi Stubby. Yep it's the step cut for back leaners , go in from the back cut 2/3 through then pop in your felling bar and take out the remainder by cutting in at an angle

Yea I do remember stuff ! Wait till you get to a soft Dutchman with a tapered hinge for adverse leaners ! :biggrin:

Splendid Pictures Manager! Really really like those...you 're telling a great story of achievment in this thread and it's got Wheels! Of course my favourite picture is he dogtooth going over..i even like the shape it leaves behind...great thread.

I'm a sod for taking pictures and videos... I filmed myself taking a couple of trees down today. That way I can check my technique and also, if something goes wrong I'm able to view the footage to see what I did.
