Yeah don't walk on gravel or any sharpe surfaces with them though mate! They do break up at the base when walked on those things!!

 

I've absolutely hammered my carbon geckos over the past 6 years or so, concrete, gravel you name it and they are still going strong. Tried on a pair of stein spikes few weeks back to compare. My word I was in pain they were so uncomfortable.

Just a little comparison with titanium spikes, interesting when kiwiklimbers bring out there titanium all in one spike and ascender, they will be even lighter.picture below
