How do you get a decent picture from a gopro video?

Is there a better way to get a still from a video than screenshotting the page ?

Set it up to film and take a photograph at the same time.

I have mine set to take one every 5 seconds.

 

Only downside is it kills the battery quicker and you do need a decent sized memory card.

That might work but I've already filmed it and there is a bit of the video that I paused that I want to make into a photo without loosing quality

download some free video editing software, you should be able to lift out singe frames.

Depending on what system you are on, I-movie has a frame grab option built in.

 

Will depend on the frames per second (fps) the video was shot it in regards to the amount of quality you can get it off it, higher the frame rate the better chance of a sharp image.

Haha, I can send you a picture if you like I actually uploaded my gopro and saw loads of old footage I would like just pictures from as well as trying to edit them..
