Giant Coast Redwoods ~ a Must-See ~ 2015

Headed for the Del Norte redwoods Saturday and maybe Humboldt redwoods Sunday or Monday.

 

Anybody else here by chance going to be on vacation in the redwoods this coming weekend?

I think I've talked my work colleague in to doing a proper trip up to the Redwoods. He was thinking of a quick tour of Muir woods but after I explained how different the trees further up the coast were, he's setting his sights on a road trip next year. Meanwhile, I'm thinking of doing a massive road trip in a couple of years starting in Alaska and finishing in Yosemite. Hopefully this time Mario, I might be able to shout you a beer.

Had some fun around Arcata a few days ago. There is a nice second-growth forest called Redwood Park. I got together with a couple of local women who wanted something little more on the dark side.
