There is a good looking 42 special saw on ebay at the mo. Same as 242xp I believe?

Sort of - think the 42's are open ported though. Use both fairly regularly and like both, but the 242 is a bit snappier and revs higher

Quick question. Can you run a 242xp on 3/8 chain? Wondered if it may be a bit hard on the wee saw! I have a new 15" 3/8 bar to suit left over from my 254xp and plenty of chain. Also have a dose of sprockets.
