Has anyone tried this?..... The tibloc

I saw one in the shop the other day and seeing its simple one piece construction (it must cost buttons to cast) I imagined it would be a cheap alternative to a pantin. It works by using the crab itself to pinch the rope against the grips.

 

It ought to cost a fiver.....but sadly it doesn't.

 

Maybe Jonsie could do better??:thumbup1:

nice one rich. what sort of ascender are you using on your version?

 

I just had the usual VT, pantin on the right foot. The ascender below attached to a bungee and attached to the rope the slings length from boot.

 

Cheers Tim, only tried srt the once and it was Steve's setup. I may give it a go as i have a few ropes kicking about.

 

What do you recommend?
