I can just about survive on my wage, but I do the job mainly because I love it.

I know 15 plus tree surgeons in my area, some trainee, some competent climbers, all of which are around the 6.50 - 8.50 per hour mark. I remember before I started college I had the impression that its a well paid job, but until you find the right company that pays well and have enough experience you will struggle to earn a good wage.

 

I can just about survive on my wage, but I do the job mainly because I love it.

 

 

 

agree with you i couldnt think anything worst than working a 40 hour week doing a job you didnt like, theres not many who can say they love doing there job

Its just supply and demand, unfortunately, as there are more and more people wanting to do this job, there is no reason for employers to pay more.

An i think because there are more and more companies starting up, price wars and cheap work the value of the job as a whole is dragged down directly affecting wages.
