Botex crane not moving.

As above , there is plenty of hydraulic oil in there but when the pumps running there is only tiny movement.

Any ideas?

Does anything move? Take a pipe off at the rotator end and see if there'e oil coming out.....INTO A DRUM though

Had slew seal problems with mine but that didn't stop it working, just made me oily!

The link between the front mounted pump and the engine pulley may have sheared if you're one's like that....?

I'd check the output pressure from the pump next. I believe it should be 2000lbs or more. Under that and it's not happy.

 

There is a pressure adjuster in the valve block if you have a modern two lever type. This is on the right hand side back bottom. A 1/2'' (13mm) lock-nut & slotted adjuster, perhaps this may have come loose? In for more, out for less.

could be worth checking all the elbows on the hydraulics connectors, if a foreign lump of anything is restricting oil flow chances are that's where it'll be trapped.

Probably late for advice but you might like to put a pressure gauge at various points to see what pressure you have. If it's running off spool of tractor, see if you got normal pressure at spool outlet without crane plugged in. That will tell if tractor is okay. If so, then probably relief valve needs checking, washing, etc.

If separate pump, pressure test that at whatever point available to see if you have any, you don't want to start adjusting valves if you not getting pressure as spec.

I bet its a bit of crap in the pressure relief valve. I take it the 3PL arms work ok? in which case it will be the valve on the crane block..

Have you got the hoses in the wrong way round?
