Managed to get through to Tech Support today, 2 and a half days !!

But they were helpful, they said they didn't think it would be the carb, but after I explained I have been through absolutely everything else they agreed to send me a carb to replace it.

We'll see what happens

still £100 ON OFFER:thumbup:

Carb arrived next day, fitted it and it started straight away and runs ok

Just idle is very erratic.

I looked at the old carb and found, after I took off the anti tamper jet adjusting plastics, that the low jet was closed and I hadn't adjusted it at all.

If the erratic idle doesn't settle I'm going to refit the compensating carb without the anti tamper and reset the L jet to see if hat was the problem

Aghhh I have exactly the same problem. Starts runs, then when worked hard starts to die and can't save it! Tried everything, new filters, breathers, re tuned, new exhaust, new ignition, still the bloody same! Very frustrating, in fact it now lives an easy life in the workshop as I don't use it otherwise I will set fire to it and drive over it in the truck! May try Husqvarna tech geezers as last chance, before I buy another Stihl, do you have the contact number please. Ta, Jim
