Whats even more annoying is the fact the some people pay top money for there advert and we havent even had one delivered inthe last two years . Just goes to show there are robbing beggars .

I've noticed this with a couple of local advertising mags, they e mail me all time trying to get me to advertise, but I've not had one through my letterbox in a couple of months!! And the big houses just a bit out of town with the big gardens and TREES I bet they never get them delivered!!

Waste of good money, and Yell.com is just as bad.

I also tried advertising for 3 months with Google ad words, analysing the results over a 3 month period is was costing me £12 every time someone clicked through onto my website. I am on p1 of google anyway in my area/field, the add simply put me at number 1. Another waste of money.

Parish type magazines I find quite good.

Did you really pay £12 per click for Google Adwords? I have heard about costs between £0.30 and £1.50 per click, and have paid up to £1 per click myself a few years back.

You know you can set a maximum price per click on Google Adwords, right?

I think you guys are being very hard on yellow pages! I find them very useful, like when you have a wobbly table you can put it under one leg to prop it up, or when you need to get the fire going and you've run out of kindling. Makes a good backstop for shooting at too. :001_tongue:
