good point about the value, defently sets it appart from the others. The problem ive got at the moment is ive got £6000 tops for either a defender or iveco/isuzu/mitsubishi. not enough to get a decent defender at the moment. I'll keep looking tho

Defenders have rock solid residuals - paid £15K for my 2004 130 tipper 3 years ago, have put 55,000 miles (now at 168,000 miles) on it and it's never missed a beat. Got offered £12K for it recently - try getting that for a 10 yr old Toyota Hilux!

For us in a rural situation I've been really happy with our td5 130. We work in fields, off road, off piste more often than not and its ace. A transit or similar would really struggle for the work we do. If you're in a big city I would have thought it would be harder to justify.

As Geoff said, Great trucks I was luck and got a good un owned by some old fart for several years so never really done any hard work 😉
