Great stuff Reg, but who prices a takedown like that for one day? Stevie Wonder?

The guy on the ladder, that's Kim. Notorious for his wild optimism. He actually told me the tree was 95 foot beforehand. When we arrived the day of the job, he and I just laughed stood underneath. Bear in mind too is was raining, still dark and blowing hard....it was a grim feeling to put it mildly. I'll put some footage together of the removal soon enough. Thanks

There was no felling, unfortunately. The entire pole had to be rigged down off itself....at least until they were falling too close to the bollard. I sliced and ripped a few thereafter....managing to slot them on a little patch of dirt....then we walked the remainder (ripped in half) down the orchard ladder, until it could be reached from the ground. I got away from the job about 5:30.

Did you have to stop and sharpen your chain half way through... What saws did you use?

I managed with the 372 for as long as I could, then switched to the 3120 when the rounds had to be ripped....372 it too slow cutting into the wide, flat surface.
