Hmmm. Good for you, not for the diagnosis. Was saw tank low when it seized?

 

Tesco 99 is v high ethanol btw.

 

 

Half full in mid cut, just died a nd then no compression!

The new mak model is now the EA 7901 i think, so is there much difference to the old dcs 7901.

 

i would say harvey that the EA7901 is the same as the PS-7910 so therefore it will be a touch heavier and on paper less power than the dcs7901 but i am maybe wrong :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

All saws are a touch heavier and less power now, there's more metal on the cylinder and muffler. Gut them out to what the old saws are like and they run stronger!

with the easy start recoil the ps-350sc ps-420sc ps-4605 and ps-5105 is defiantely wider than the older models but the slimmer recoil can be purchased for the 5105 i will research and see if the others can be purchased

They are wide for their size even with the non easy start recoil, and the handling suffers from it.

 

Inboard clutches are a bad idea, regarding the handling of saws. :wink:
