Tipping trailer for tractor

Im currently using a 4t tipping trailer.

 

I have a few issues with it really, ita quite high for load height esp on 3' rings etc, also its only single wheels at the back so tends to try bob the tractor even with a full weight pack on.

 

 

Im thinking of getting a 12 x 6 ifor with caged sides or something similar.

 

Low load hight, twin wheel.

 

But will it be ok towed off road by tractor and will it take the abuse?

Ideally i need a crane! Got some big jobs coming up but not getting this year!

No and No

 

You will ground out and it will become an anchor for a 2wd and a 4wd will pull it through and damage it.

 

The Bowden cables that enter at the bottom of the brake back plate will get ripped off

I built my Hiab trailer for £4k years ago.

 

Look out for a good tandem axle trailer, pick up a Hiab for a grand, good tyres and then a fabricator!

HI TREE we had the same years ago with ivor tipper we had mate pull it out the tractor in the end as you say it like ground anchor mate then when pull trailer you may damage it but off with twin axle farm trailer theres one on arb trader now thanks jon
