After just convincing Pete i was a bit too big for tip pruning, i came across these.

 

Copper beech reduction last spring; Yes big blokes can fly, as you can see it was a massive tree;

We don't ever seem to do stuff like that in the states. People don't wanna pay anything for it.

 

Yeh, sure butch i dont do them really just the customer said reduce it or lose it!

No, what I was saying is the people around here might WANT that done, but when they hear the price they change their minds. They want it done for nearly free.

 

Since 9/11 people are hanging on to their money. Nobody spends money on trimming anymore. It's nearly all TD's nowadays. Ten years ago trimming was about all I ever did but times have changed a lot since then.

Yeh i get you butch, i quoted same price to remove or prune and they still went for the reduction! It was anice couple of hours in the sunshine........

 

Its wierd how 9/11 changed peoples thinking, i guess they think money can be set aside for a rainy day instead of paying for such works.
